Pack or Unpack
Not too keen on packing? Sit back and relax while we do it for you! If needed, we can organise your packing a day or several days before your move. Just send us a filled in quote form and we will estimate your packing cost or contact us for a packing quote.
Packing is a very important part of your move. When your possessions are insufficiently packed, you may experience some damage regardless of how the actual move is handled.
Our extensive experience enables us to assess immediately what packaging is needed for which goods and how to secure even the most fragile items for the moving journey.
Packing is charged on an hourly basis plus cost of the packing materials. We only use high quality materials to ensure your items travel safely.
We are confident that our packing will secure your belongings and precious items for the entire journey. Once trusted with packing, our experienced members of staff will:
- disassemble any furniture destined to be moved
- wrap your sofas and beds with appropriate covers
- pack your dishes, glassware and all kitchen cookware
- carefully wrap your picture frames and any fragile decorative items
- disconnect your electrical and electronic appliances, from TV through sound systems, to fridge, cooker, washing machine and similar
- pack your books and documents neatly and in a structured way, so they will be easy to arrange in your new place
We are fully insured to handle your possessions and once you decide to entrust us with packing your goods for you, you will receive an automatic “Goods in transit” insurance cover for up to £10.000. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions for more information.

Tips for secure packing of your goods:
- boxes are best packing materials, they accommodate a lot, fit well in a van – and because they have regular rectangular shapes, they can be effectively stacked one on top of another, utilising most of the available space
- used boxes are great because they allow you to save money, but be very careful – boxes have limited durability and each use will weaken them. Never overfill boxes with overly heavy items
- always seal boxes and any containers you may use with tape, as they can shift slightly when the vehicle is moving. A non-sealed box will always carry a risk of falling down and damaging your goods.
- when packing and arranging your goods, put all the items that are not to be transported aside and mark them clearly. Make sure you explain what is staying in your old premises to everybody in the moving team.
- if you are sending some of your possessions to storage, make sure you mark them very clearly not only for the movers, but also for yourself (it is usually best to write on the side of box, as they will normally be stack on top of each other in storage). We recommend that you write detailed descriptions on each box, as with time you will surely forget what “stuff from the bottom drawer” was!
